Character Analysis



In the diary of Anne Frank, Anne Frank is the girl who keeps the diary. Anne Frank is 13 years old, and was born on June 12, 1929. She is hiding with her family and the Vaan Daan family. They are all Jewish. Anne is the type of girl who has the nice character and the bad character. When you make her mad, she would be the baddest girl in town. She has 2 personality traits, like the mean one and the bad one. When she was talking to her dad, she had told him that she was trying to show the good Anne, but some how she could not attempt to do that. Anne went to school at Jewish Secondary. Her sister, Margot went to school with her. Peter Vaan Daan, the 16 year old boy that they are currently hiding with went to school with them also. Anne has a little crush on Peter Vaan Daan. Peter is always trying to avoid her because he is super shy and timid. In the play, Anne is the main character. Anne is the person, the girl who wrote the diary and is saying it in her own point of view. In the diary, she talks about her life hiding in the attic of her father’s business building. She tells writes in the diary what is going on during The Holocaust.Anne has a lot of good and bad relationships with the people that she is living with for now. She really does not get along with Mr. Van Daan because he thinks that she is not mature enough and that she has no manners, and has the worst characteristic in the attic. Peter also tries to avoid her because he thinks that she is sort of annoying. She likes to always be curious of what he is doing and bothering his cat. Anne really does not get along with her mom, because her mom baby’s her a lot and Anne believes that she isn’t a baby no more. Anne believes that she is a full-grown teenager that has the ability to take care of herself. Anne gets along better with her father because she believes that he understands her. An important line that she says in the play is, "Remember, Mr. So-and-So, remember I'm a lady.
